Another Egalitarian (Bookworm?) Heroine

Kathy Griffin, at the Emmys:
“a lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want you to know that no one had less to do with this award than Jesus. So, all I can say is, ‘suck it, Jesus.’ This award is my god now.”

And of course, it's getting censored. Fuck the theocracy!

Kathy Griffin was not censored. She said whatever she said -- and her words are apparently well known -- and the corporate enterprise handling the broadcast transmission chose to edit the content. Just like any other editor.

Is every word you submit for publication printed? No. Have editors ever cut parts of your work? Yes.

What exempts TV content from routine editing? Nothing.

Other than yelling "fire" in a crowded theater, no restrictions on speech exist in this country.
