I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved Dead Until Dark, the first Sookie Stackhouse novel. I could really sink my teeth into it.

On a lighter note, I'm also reading Italian cooking authority Marcella Hazan's memoir, Amarcord, and I just got a new cozy mystery that self-consciously adapts and adopts the characters and plot of Pride and Prejudice. It's called Murder at Longbourn. I'm saving it for some light New Year's Day reading.Wired Wordsmithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13654441692657017878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36119718.post-55259737760170336782009-12-23T15:13:46.758-05:002009-12-23T15:13:46.758-05:00PS- scratch "Proper Education". So far, the description is brilliant.
200 pages left to "Anna Karenina." I love it, so I don't want it to end but yet, I must know the ending!
Working on "Tracks" too, by Louise Erdrich. It's been far too long since I read anything by her.
And now that so much of my holiday madness is done, it's time to settle into these snow days and read!
Oh yes and if I complete all of those, I'm dying to read "The Daisy Chain" by Charlotte Younge. Knowing all the meanings would sure to be very engrossing. As it is, I'm reading as much annotation as text.
